Document Intelligence
Invoices, purchase orders, contracts, delivery notes, application forms, claims, statements — most organisations still move information out of these by hand. We build document intelligence solutions that extract, process, and organise information from business documents automatically, then push validated data straight into the systems where it is actually needed.
Plain OCR reads characters; it does not understand a document. Our solutions combine OCR with machine learning and language models so the system can identify the document type, locate the right fields regardless of layout, interpret tables and line items, and flag anything that looks inconsistent for human review — which is what makes the difference between a demo and something an accounts team will trust.

FAQs
OCR converts an image of text into machine-readable characters, and stops there. Document intelligence adds understanding on top: recognising what kind of document it is, finding the invoice number and total wherever they happen to sit on the page, reading multi-row tables, cross-checking values against your master data, and deciding what should happen next. OCR gives you text; document intelligence gives you usable data.
- Finance — invoices, purchase orders, receipts, bank and credit statements
- Operations — delivery notes, packing lists, inspection reports, work orders
- Legal & commercial — contracts, agreements, insurance policies
- Customer-facing — application forms, claim submissions, identity documents
- Formats — native PDFs, scanned images, emailed attachments, and phone photographs
- Accuracy depends on document quality and consistency — clean structured PDFs perform far better than creased faxed scans, so we benchmark on your real documents before committing to numbers
- Confidence scoring — each extracted field carries a confidence level rather than being treated as certain
- Validation rules — totals that do not add up, or references that do not exist in your master data, are caught automatically
- Human review queue — low-confidence and failed-validation documents route to a person, so errors are corrected rather than posted
- Corrections feed back into retraining, so accuracy improves over time on your specific document mix
Yes — that is usually the point. Once validated, data is posted into your ERP, CRM, or accounting platform through APIs or integration middleware, and can trigger the downstream workflow as well: matching an invoice to its purchase order, routing it for approval, and creating the entry once approved. Without that final integration step you have only moved the manual work rather than removed it.
- Security by design — protecting business-critical systems and sensitive information is built into the architecture, not added afterwards
- Deployment choice — solutions can run within your own cloud tenancy or environment where data residency matters
- Access control — role-based permissions, encryption in transit and at rest, and full processing audit trails
- Data handling terms — retention periods and model-training use are agreed explicitly before any documents are processed
